Maja specializes in the transhipment of bulk, but also has extensive experience with break bulk. Fast, efficient handling of your goods is essential to us. We have our own quays, floating and fixed loading and unloading cranes, other machines and equipment, and experienced staff to handle your order professionally. Our flexibility enables us to respond quickly to customer requirements.
Maja has been loading scrap into bulk carriers for various companies for many years. We distinguish ourselves mainly by carrying out the transhipment as damage-free as possible. In addition, we work quickly and efficiently.
Fertilizer is a special product that has specific requirements for loading and unloading, in which we have extensive experience. We ensure tight grippers and accurate unloading to minimize waste of cargo.
We also tranship minerals such as talc, dolomite and bentonite in large volumes, whereby the prevention of damage and waste plays a major role. Maja has the necessary permits to store various types of bulk materials. Maja uses strict protocols for storage, maintenance and cleaning of equipment, to prevent mixing of substances. We also provide the transhipment and storage of agro products and minerals for animal consumption and are GMP+ certified for this. Maja is also at home in the market for transhipment of coal and storage and transhipment of biomass (for example wood pellets).
Maja knows everything about the transhipment of break bulk, such as big bags, steel (including coils), paper, project cargo, etc. With our varied fleet of self-propelled floating cranes and our experienced staff, we also guarantee fast and efficient loading and unloading of your goods here.
We can also handle large pieces up to a maximum of 140 tons with our Liebherr LHM 550 crane, which is stationed at the Vlothaven terminal in Amsterdam. If you are looking for storage or transhipment of heavier cargo, we can certainly be of service to you at the Vlothaven.
