What we stand for

The Management Board of Maja Stuwadoors Groep (Maja Stevedores Group) considers quality, safety, health and environmental protection to be of the highest priority. In order to leverage this position, it has drawn up a policy statement, and QHSE is discussed extensively during all meetings throughout the organisation.

Maja Stuwadoors Groep owns storage sheds and ten or so cranes, including floating cranes and quay cranes. In addition, the group owns the necessary rolling stock, such as skid-steer loaders, excavators, shovels, sweepers, boom lifts and forklifts. Several pontoons and a pusher tug are also available. All this equipment is kept in good working order by our own technical service and production unit. In addition, the equipment is periodically inspected by external experts.

All our personnel possess the necessary function-related qualifications. Furthermore, our technical and field service employees possess a valid VCA certificate (safety, health and environment checklist for contractors), and all our crane operators are qualified in-house emergency officers.

Our QHSE system includes important documents that safeguard our qualitative working practice on the one hand and occupational health and safety and environment protection on the other hand. Our QHSE system is assessed internally every month and is also audited annually by an independent external certification body. This body issues the required certificates following a positive evaluation.
